Silence and Beyond Silence

Important announcement: There is now, as of January 31, 2012, a Facebook community page 'Lotus of the Heart.' Anyone can access the page and go there for inspiration and sharing, and it will have posted, among other postings, all the online work of Lotus of the Heart. Facebook pages, unlike the groups, have no membership. Presently, the Lotus group page is being archived, and will be reformatted. The new group will include a small number of persons Arem will choose, who have been sharing at the group, and potentially a small number of others. The group is a 'sharing group,' for persons who want to share in giving and receiving, for mutual inspiration. The page is for anyone who wishes to visit. Yes, dear Friend,
I hear your impassioned testimony
of that delightful taste of Silence and
I, too, savor it in the words you say, but
What is on the other side of Silence?
Can you tell me of that, my Friend?
Have you been there? If so, say.
Tell me, if you can, of that;
for sweeter still is the taste and
lovelier than lovely Silence's face...
no one can tell... but still, Yes,
What is on the other side of Silence?
Tell me, Tell... just a hint, and your words
might possibly lead me there again
to that most beautiful, wondrous world I
long to live from, where
eyes do not see and
a tongue never speaks
of Silence... beyond Silence... where
we can all enjoy peaceful solitude.
Will you come and rest with me there, my Friend?

Begin the video below, while sitting or lying down comfortably. Listening to the music and chanting, breathe naturally into your abdomen, about an inch above the navel. Now, close your eyes and relax, and let the relaxation deepen slowly. Be with sensations in the body and sounds you hear; when thoughts arise, do not resist them, do not cling to them, regardless of the thought. Let all arise and dissolve in this spacious stillness. When the video is complete, remain in the quiet as long as you wish. When ready, slowly open the eyes.
